Custom pixie colors! This is how we made the blue eyes in our lip balm skull.

Ever wanted to create the exact perfect shade for your next project?

Custom-coloring clear pixie rhinestones with alcohol inks is the ultimate hack! I shared the same hack with glitter on our YouTube channel years ago. The same process applies to glass rhinestones.

As you can see in the video, it's super easy! Just add a single drop of alcohol ink to a small cup, pour in your clear stones, and mix thoroughly until they are evenly coated.

You MUST let them dry completely!
A quick word of caution: Because this is alcohol ink, the pigment remains water- and alcohol soluble even after it dries. You'll need to be mindful of this when choosing adhesives or if the finished item will be exposed to heavy moisture or harsh cleaners, as the colors can reactivate and bleed.

An additional note. Alcohol-based colorants ARE NOT UV STABLE. They will fade with extended exposure to sunlight.

It's been 6 years since I launched The Tumbler Universe. I honestly never knew where this venture would lead me.

There have been many difficult days and a lot of trial and error, along with a ton of rhinestones.

We are here, after 6 years.

I am truly appreciative of everybody who has ever placed an order, shared a post, spoken of The Tumbler Universe, liked a post, and stuck around to watch The Tumbler Universe grow.

You all have played a huge part in making The Tumbler Universe what it is today.

Today, I want to take a moment to say thank you.

Six years, in the books.

Let's see what year 7 brings. ❤️
