My latest creation is this cute little snowman ornament carefully crafted from several different pieces of vintage jewelry and hung with a red velvet ribbon. It may not show in the picture, but his hat is sapphire blue. $20.

I've been busy making Christmas ornaments. My ornaments are made from vintage and antique hardware, jewelry and crystals. Sometimes there's jewelry that is not vintage, but I try to make it all vintage. I search the Internet and antique shops for the perfect pieces. Then, I clean the loose dirt and rust off. We don't want to get dirty from our ornaments! Occasionally, a piece is painted. Next, pieces are secured with special glues. These are totally original pieces and would look fantastic on any vintage or modern Christmas tree. Thanks for looking. I have other types of ornaments available too!

I decided to cut up an aluminum can and run it through my die cut machine. I added some alcohol ink to some of the shapes. I just love the look of alcohol inks!

I finally finished my first junk journal. It's taken me a while because I have been doing a little bit of everything lately. My journal is an altered Little Golden Book. I used "The Night Before Christmas", so it's obviously a Christmas journal. It has 4 signatures, 160 pages. There's plenty of journaling room, tags, and bits of ephemera. Here's a few pictures!

Check out today's project! I recycled something that I had previously recycled. For my son's wedding, I repurposed lamps into candle holders. Now, I have taken the heaviest lamp (14 pounds) and repurposed it into a bird bath. I used a ceiling light shade for the bowl. I also found a little metal table to paint up and set the bird bath on. I need the table to deter my dog from drinking out of it. Deter is the key word. I'm sure he can still reach it!

I took apart two sconces, one light, and one giant chandelier yesterday. I started to take apart the one with porcelain roses, but when I removed the ceiling plate, it said made in Spain. I did some investigating and saw an identical one for sale for $1,200. So, I decided to keep it together for now. I have tons of crystals, some ceramic candles, lots of bobeches, (always keep your bobeches, I've repurposed so many!), and some cool little parts that look like robot legs. The robot legs will make some kind of cool steampunk thingy. I have 64 of the 3 inch crystals! I have 7 glass arms, if I had 8 I could make an octopus!
