I just learned about an organization called Loose Ends. An individual can submit a project that a lived one has been unable to complete, usually due to disability or death.

I think this is such a beautiful opportunity to provide something to a family experiencing grief. Check out my finisher profile if you have a chance, would love feedback on areas I should elaborate on.

Has anyone been following long enough to remember the cloth diapered babe that started Cobbette Creations?

Well, she's 11 now and competing in her school's battle of the books. I was able to use my tie dye skills to make the team shirts. They are the Reading Rainbows!

Although my page has been largely inactive since I went back to school in 2018, it was a nice diversion to pull out those old skills. ❤️

Normally I wouldn't accept an order this large right before the holidays. But when a close family friend requested these for her sister who is having a double mastectomy tomorrow, I couldn't say no.

I've been crafting!

I wanted to buy a new artificial tree this year. But for some reason they are stupid expensive (do i really need programmable lights for something that is only out for 5-6 weeks a year?). So I decided to make a new tree skirt and tree topper instead!

I was hoping to have time for a new garland but wanted to get the tree decorated so I'll save that for next year.

Just a quick no shaming PSA because I see this happening a lot.

This clear sheet of sticky plastic is the carrier sheet, transfer sheet, contact paper etc. It assists you to "pick up" the vinyl design and place on to the intended surface. Then it can be removed.

Last week we traveled and I noticed this a lot on cars. I thought I would try to explain the purpose since not everyone sends application instructions with vinyl stickers. Some carrier sheets might be clear, others might come with a grid line for application. I use clear contact paper for my vinyl stickers.

Also note, always clean the intended surface first before applying. I do glass cleaner or all purpose cleaner and then rubbing alcohol. For textured surfaces you can use a low heat hair dryer to help with better adhesion.

Apparently my bleach was either old or relatively color safe.
I don't think I love it. But I don't hate it? Thoughts?
