If you bring it home, you have to manage it.
It sounds simple, but this is one of the most overlooked parts of organizing.
Everything that crosses your front door creates a next step.
It needs to be washed, stored, put away, remembered, maintained, used… or eventually dealt with again.
That’s why organizing isn’t only about finding better containers or making more room. Sometimes it starts before something ever enters the house.
A functional home doesn’t just store what you have. It helps you use it.
Before bringing something home, try asking yourself:
Do I have the space, the capacity, and a realistic plan for this?
In this case, I brought home a lot of fresh produce 😱…which meant I also needed to make the time to prep it, organize it, and actually turn it into meals.
Because what we bring home creates a next step.
And sometimes the best organizing system begins at the front door.😉
