New Old-Growth Redwood Platter — with a Special Story Behind It.
This piece means a lot to me.
The wood came from true old-growth Coastal Redwood, milled by our father in Point Arena, CA back in the 1950s. The tree itself was likely over 250 years old before it ever touched a saw blade.
I turned a piece of that raw slab into a 10.5" platter, finished with Pita’s True Grit to bring out the warmth, depth, and history locked in every ring.

This wood is the last of its kind — and this platter is one of only a few I’ll ever be able to make from this stock.
Thank you for supporting handmade craftsmanship and family-history pieces like this.
