Summer may be winding down, but the sun didn't get the memo.

As the angle shifts heading into fall, glare actually gets worse in a lot of homes, coming in lower and hitting right where you sit, work, or watch TV. And once the temperature drops, those same windows that let in all that light start letting out all that heat.

The right shades handle both, giving you light control when you want it, insulation when you need it, and a view you don't have to give up to get either.

PS. We're closing at 1 pm on Friday, and closed Saturday through Monday so our team can enjoy a long Labor Day weekend. We'll return to regular hours on Tuesday to help get your windows ready for fall.

Save the date for the 2026 Fall Parade of Homes, October 17th-18th and 24th-25th. Accent Window Fashions is participating in a very special home on the tour, and this is a project unlike anything we've done before.

Window treatments go in a lot of rooms, but this home has one space we've never covered before. (Hint: It has a kitchen... but not the kind you cook in. 🏓 😉)

After a few weeks of rest and recovery, K9 Kano was cleared by the vet and returned to work yesterday.

A little proud dad moment as Officer Ryan Keele gets Kano’s vest ready for his first shift back after being injured in the line of duty.

Kano is rested, ready and back doing what he loves, keeping our community and officers safe.
