• 1 cup buttermilk (240 ml)
• ¼ cup sour cream (60 g)

• 1 cup unsalted butter, softened (226 g)
• 4 cups powdered sugar (480 g)
• 3 tbsp heavy cream
• 2 tsp vanilla extract
• Pinch of salt

How to make it:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar for about 3 minutes, until light, fluffy, and creamy.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Mix in the sour cream until smooth.
Alternate adding the dry ingredients and buttermilk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix just until combined. Do not overmix.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top evenly.
Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Allow the vanilla sheet cake to cool completely before frosting.
To make the frosting, beat the butter until creamy and smooth.
Gradually add the powdered sugar, then mix in the heavy cream, vanilla extract, and salt. Beat until light, fluffy, and spreadable.
