Yup....all the work I've been doing on Bessie is feeling good. She is loaded (thank you van Tetris) with 5 porch rockers, 20 stools, binder cane, 7mm flat oval reed, pre twisted natural rush, corded wool in natural and dyed colors and a boatload of gumption to teach 16 students at this weekend. My first time there. Can't wait!

I even bondo'd a big rust spot today. Couple more layers left . Washed the upholstered back panels, put silicone on the light on top to prevent leaks. Cuz a girl's gotta do.....

I physically could not get into the van after femur break. I consider all this packing my version of PT. I'm pretty sore today, but content. Ok, I occasionally use a stool to get in.

If you're frustrated, keep on going.

Bike basket or walker basket...whatever works for you!
Beverage container attached on the inside. Inspired by need when I needed a walker after surgery. It was a life-saver. Can't tell you how full I would load it up.
I make them with a clip-in strap in case you want to take it off and use as a messenger bag.
This is a class I also teach. Did it online but may do it in person.

Long hot day. Planted 2 community garden beds (boy was it hot) Finished waxing Bessie, my 32 year old bus (who waxes a BUS?!) In the last few days I washed, compounded and waxed her. She's road-ready for the season. I don't drive her far so you won't see her in Maine or NC. She winks and waves at every gas station, flirting and saying "see you later". Ha.

I didn't drive her last year. Too difficult to get into after femur break. Even now I keep a footstool nearby just in case.

She has new shoes, brakes, and a new bumper (that's a story in itself). I decided to sand the rust spot and paint it silver.

Because a girls gotta do ...whatevahhhh.

I'm going to patch and bondo a small spot near exhaust. If that goes well I may tackle the dent on front end. If not, a Wiley-Coyote "splat on canyon wall" sticker may look cool there.

Reorganizing inside starts tomorrow. I am upgrading it to more of a camping style. Adding some things in. Maybe I'll stay overnight at Ren Faire now and then. Not getting any younger! Might as well do it now. I have camped and traveled to NC and WV before. But I need some extra amenities.

There's always something to do. Going to relax and weave a basket tonight...in front of a fan.

No pictures of garden. Coming soon. Had to get out of the heat.
