One Man's Trash seeks to keep usable decor items out of the junk yards. By restoring or re-purposing salvage items, we can help you light, furnish, and decorate your home or loft whether you prefer a country theme or an industrial look. We create lamps and lighting, occasional chairs, barn wood furniture, and decorative items from salvaged materials. This pan was cleaned and seasoned 5x with flaxseed oil 10 years ago. We use it about once a week so that means it's been used about 500 times and it still looks like new. After use, we deglaze with water, scour with chainmail, wash with a few drops of Dawn, dry, and spray with canola oil before storage. Heat the pan, heat the oil, cook the food. Simple as that!

Jason Carniewski 's No.14 LBL Griswold skillet after restoration by One Man's Trash. Cleaned in the lye bath, a quick swim in the vinegar solution, and 3 rounds of seasoning with canola oil. It's a BEAUTY!

This was one of the first pans I restored nearly 10 years ago - a No.8 Good Health made for Sears by Griswold right here in Erie, PA. Seasoned it with flaxseed oil against everyone's advice. We use it at least once a week and it still looks great! Tonight, Heidi fried potatoes in it. You just need to learn how to take care of cast iron skillets.

Edit: Found a small crack after cleaning. Guess that's why they painted it.
