After hearing that our Bellevue High School's Football Team's season was cut short we couldn't help but to feel the pain these young athletes were feeling. When the team played on October 7th they had no clue it was their last game of the year, and for the seniors; their last high school game ever!
Last night at the senior dinner Police Chief Jon McClain challenged the team to a flag football game on October 21st at 7:00pm. We have teamed up with some of the school staff, Bellevue Barber Shop, and other city employee's to put together a worthy team to give this team one more game under the lights! We are pulling out all the stops for this game and we have been working closely with athletic director Jim Hicks to make this the best game of the season!
More details will follow but this is what we have at the moment;
• Gates will open at 6pm.
• Game will start at 7pm.
• Two 25 minute halves with a running clock.
• 10 minute halftime.
• Cheerleaders and the band will be there.
• We will have an announcer that will also play music.
• We are not charging admission. We want it open to the entire community.
• We will have hot dogs, burgers, drinks available for concessions. We will not charge for this and only take donations.
