Have you seen our new capiz windchimes and garlands from Balizen? These are handcrafted in Indonesia from oyster shells! The capiz supply comes from a fishing village in Java, where shell artisans sustainably harvest the shells and shape them. All parts of the capiz (jingle oyster) are used; the meat is used for food, the main part of the shell for handicraft, and the shell waste for fertilizer.

These would be incredibly beautiful in front of a window or on a covered porch! Beautiful, sustainable and fair trade - a perfect combination

Hosted by Chicago Fair Trade and , this weekend-long event is open to swappers of all ages, sizes, and genders. The concept is simple: donate clothes, shoes, and accessories you no longer wear (bring them with you or drop them off in advance at the locations listed in the link in bio), then take home up to ten new-to-you items! 💚

✨ Two ticket options:
Friday, April 10: Exclusive Preview Night: Get first dibs on your favorites, enjoy complimentary drinks & snacks, and avoid the crowds on Friday ($39, or $29 for Chicago Fair Trade members) + FREE re-admission to a three-hour slot on Saturday or Sunday!

Saturday, April 11 & Sunday, April 12: General Admission: Thrift for less with a 3-hour session on either Saturday or Sunday ($10, or FREE for Chicago Fair Trade members).
