Scientists are turning giant cockroaches into tiny paramedics. 🪳

Australian researchers are fitting them with cameras and miniature injectors in hopes they could someday reach people trapped beneath rubble before human rescuers can.

A quick animal-welfare note: the cockroaches are anesthetized while the equipment is fitted. After testing, everything is removed and they return to their colony, where researchers report they can live normal lifespans.

Because the one you expected least may be the one that ends up saving you.
