Christmas 2025 🎄
I wish I was better at getting photos of all the pieces I made but I’m usually running on crunch time and half gets wrapped straight out of the kiln before it occurs to me. Lol
I started late and planned to just make a whole bunch of pieces then sort them out, but I just don’t roll that way. I went mostly with planters, ornaments or salsa bowls for the older kiddos, then cocoa/juice cups for their littles. I went off script and made a couple wind chimes that I hope will work, and if not they’ll sure look pretty hanging anyway. I made snowflake necklaces even though I have no evidence of that, and a travel ashtray for my dad because he smokes in his truck.
One thing I’m certain of, everyone was happy which makes me happy and ready to do it all over again!

When my church asked if I could help in the restoration of the nativity, I immediately said yes with no knowledge of how to restore anything. I figured some touch ups would be easy enough, how bad could it be? Well, let me tell you. Statues were brought in with holes, missing fingers, a broken nose and the cow and donkey were each missing an ear. For days I looked at them wondering what the best way to fix them would be and all I could do at that point was say a prayer. I asked God to help me restore the nativity we had all grown up with and although I didn’t know what I was doing, I promised to do my best.
I used gorilla glue to fill in holes and gaps. I used it to reshape the fingers and nose. I never used it in that manner but I knew the way it bubbled and filled spaces while creating a strong hold so I went with it. I filed down the dried glue to shape and color matched paint. And of course the ears were made from plaster. The overall process took me six weeks, five actually because of the time I spent staring and brainstorming. But I have to say when the clear coat was applied, I was breathless with each one. The colors were so vibrant, my brush strokes vanished and they looked like new. And as if that wasn’t rewarding enough, our priest Father Jose William’s reaction brought a lump to my throat. He was overcome with emotion himself as he looked upon the statue of our Blessed Mother.
As I sat in mass today I kept looking over at the display, which had been set up so perfectly. And I didn’t feel proud of my work necessarily, I instead felt grateful for an answered prayer that was a resounding yes.

Sometimes I can’t believe I’m still in this beginner level of pottery and then other times I’m grateful I am. It’s done at my own pace, made in my own time. And if you’re lucky enough to own a piece I’ve made, you truly own a piece of me. For every form that flops on my wheel, there’s another that I cheer out loud for and take a dozen pics to send my husband who cheers me on.
And of course I’m always thankful for because that’s where I started and that’s where I’ll always fall back on. 🫶🏼

This one was for me❤️‍🔥
I’ve had this jacket forever and it feels like it’s back to new again - much like myself. I wanted it for the Candlelight Concert: Tribute to Metallica last night and got it done just in time.
Back to work, though! I have a big digital project to finish up for some special people!!

Thank you

I came upon this >love at first sight< moment on my sugar snap peas twine in my garden a few years back. I took a photo with every intention of recreating it on canvas. Although the flies are long gone, it’s a reminder of a time when life was slow and calm and all I needed to do was water my garden. (Reference photo at end)

Sharing two platters I had made as gifts.
The first was made with the Especkled Clay from . I glazed the inside of the rim with Mayco Cooper Float and the outside of the rim with Amaco Blue Stone. The handlettering is my own done with black underglaze and this went to my SIL Lili.
The second was for my sister, Sandra, made from low fire earthenware terracotta clay also from New Mexico Clay. I coated the center with white underglaze and added the “Lisbon Tiles” underglaze transfer from
But most importantly, a huge shout out to my ceramic instructor and mentor, Phillip at for helping me make the platters to begin with. I reached out to him with what I wanted and he invited me right back into the studio and walked me through the process with use of his studio equipment. I’m forever grateful for his generosity and guidance. His studio is more than a place to learn, it’s a community of friendship and support.

It’s the end of the hustle and bustle this season brings. It gives me absolute joy to gift my family pieces of work that were made with love (and a few tears and a curse word here and there). I can’t describe the feeling in my heart to see them laid out on my dining room table as we add the names to whom each one is designated for. It’s exciting, it’s heartwarming, it’s gratifying. My only fault is not getting photos of them all. There were some pretty magnificent pieces and I always intend to get photos for posterity but most times my scatterbrain has moved on to the next task. Here you’ll see mugs, ornaments, a video run through the lineup, personalized ceramic cereal bowl (my grand nieces and nephews all got their own), my first earthenware terracotta pieces, necklace pendants - some glazed some left unglazed to use as essential oil diffusers (my husband made that red heart and I glazed it for myself which turned out beautiful), and finally everyone’s name is always handlettered on their tags as my final act of love. When it’s all said and done, I get to rest and be pampered by my wonderful husband who is so supportive every step of the way.

Having begun in September I made:
20 mugs
1 small travel mug
2 soup mugs
16 bowls
3 vases
1 gravy boat
3 platters
7 sets of (5) ornaments
15 necklace pendants

Another digital design for a great cause!
It’s no secret Arthur’s Acres Animal Sanctuary has my heart and although I am a monthly patreon, I am committed to donating digital art for their store. Todd is who I turned to when I needed to improve the quality of life for my own potbelly pigs. His heart is bigger than the pigs he rescues and he puts in the work day in and day out, along with his incredible team. They inspire love and compassion in a tireless way.
Head over to and see what the hype’s about. (Pictured on the hoodie is his original Kunekune Krew: Petey, Moby, Hans, Mikey and Billie)
Also, thank you .rabideau for bringing my designs to life.
