Cake-inspired flowers for Rochester Cake Fest. 🌸🍰

For last weekend’s cart, I filled the buckets with locally grown blooms from Leanne Worboys Wooderson • WNY Flower Farm & Florist in creamy tones, soft pastels, bright pops and plenty of texture.

Basically, a flower bar with a little dessert energy.

Behind Little Blue Thistle is someone who has believed in this dream right alongside me.🩵

Today we’re celebrating 8 years of marriage, and I’m especially grateful for our tradition of spending our anniversary here in the mountains — a chance to slow down, be together, and celebrate the life we’ve built.

Thank you for always supporting me, and believing in my crazy dreams (including this flower-filled one)!

Happy 8 years to us and here’s to many more anniversaries in the mountains. ⛰️🤍

Hi friends! I’ve noticed some new faces around here lately, and after getting these lovely photos back from Britten Nicole I thought it was a good opportunity to re-introduce myself.

I’m Diana, the founder of Little Blue Thistle. Before flowers, my background was in nonprofit event planning, so creating meaningful experiences and bringing people together has always been a big part of who I am. After stepping away from my full-time career and unexpectedly finding my way into the floral world, I started Little Blue Thistle as a way to combine all of those things I love — flowers, creativity, community and connection.

What makes this business so special to me is that it’s about more than just pretty flowers. It’s about creating moments that feel personal, welcoming and joyful — whether that’s a bloom bar at a celebration, a workshop with friends, or simply a bouquet that brightens an ordinary day.

Today, I get to bring bouquet bars, workshops, pop-ups and floral experiences to celebrations and gatherings throughout Rochester and the Finger Lakes, and I’m so grateful every time someone chooses Little Blue Thistle to be part of their day.

This month, Little Blue Thistle…

🌿 Popped up at local events and markets
Backwoods

🌈 And RocOnly Events Other Half Brewing Finger Lakes

💐 Created bouquets for celebrations big and small

🌸 Hosted a private floral workshop

❄️ Spent more time than I’d like to admit in the coolers kbf_wholesale_flowers

🩰 Took 19 classes Pure Barre Rochester-Pittsford (and brought along some cute bud vases)

✨ Set up an official business bank account

🌻 Wandered flower fields with my boys Wickham Farms

🌅 Ended the month with a lakeside dinner with my favorite girls Sand Bar at The Lake House
