We're so excited to see some timbers going up on one of our jobs a year in the making. A blessing to be in beautiful East Kentucky *in spite* of biting cold winds and solid ice on the hillside! More pictures to come, but we can't wait to welcome the Brown's to their new self-contracted home!

So thrilled to see how these MASSIVE hand hewn textured 16x16 beams turned out at this beautiful home in Cambridge Shores! There's just something beautiful about charcoal black timbers and copper accents.

Despite the ongoing federal government shutdown, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has confirmed that the reciprocal tariffs are taking effect yesterday, October 14, 2025.

These new tariffs apply to imports based on their country of origin and will result in the following additional duties on inbound production:

Vietnam: 20%
Indonesia: 19%
Ecuador: 15%
Gabon: 10%
Brazil: 48%

This affects the price of some species of timber we deal in. We’re working hard to secure supply lines on alternative species to combat the price increases and give our clients and customers every possible choice we can for any price range.

Our clients are our priority, so we thank you for being patient with us as we strive to provide the best timber for your projects.
