They’re often meant to communicate a vision while leaving room for discoveries throughout construction, sourcing, and ongoing collaboration.

The rendering of this built-in established its proportions, materials, and overall feel while helping us evaluate how it would function within our client’s home. But their trust in the process and our confidence in selecting the perfect finishing details took this built-in from cute to 🔥🔥🔥

For this entry, we balanced crisp architectural millwork with rich, dark-stained flooring and handrails to create contrast, depth, and timeless appeal. The curved staircase softens the space, while the herringbone floors introduce movement and a sense of craftsmanship. Layered textures, organic branches, and collected accessories bring warmth to the clean, classic palette.

The result is an entry that feels both refined and inviting, setting the tone for the rest of the home.
