Our self-care theme for May is "Room to Breathe". We aren't talking about this as an idea or concept, but a self-care practice. This is something you actually do, even on the days that are busy and hard.

I plan to continue showing up here with reminders, rituals, and a little permission. And this is how I'm going to start: You're allowed to exhale. Right now. Go ahead - exhale.

Lighting a candle is my signal to take a deep breath and focus on what is in front of me. It's the trigger for the exhale.
