Meet your 2025-2026 NDID Board Student Liaison!

Sophie Scraper – InterOffice

🪵If you could design a space for your younger self, what would it look like?
I would design a log cabin for my family! When I was younger I wanted to design either tiny homes or log cabins so if I was given the option now I would design a log cabin that has a family room with a big fireplace to sit around to read books or have movie or game nights. I also would make sure there is a huge deck overlooking the mountains!

🪑What is a piece of furniture that in your opinion stands the test of time and will be utilized for years to come?
A good ergonomic task chair like the Herman Miller Aeron. Its ergonomic design, durability, and timeless look have already kept it relevant for decades. It’s built to support people every day and continues to perform year after year. Good design and durability never go out of style!

🍫If you had to swap lives with a fictional character for a week, who would you pick?
W***y Wonka so I could enjoy the chocolate room in the factory where everything is edible!

Meet your 2025-2026 NDID Board Student Representative!

Megan Fliehs - NDSU

🏨 What sector of design do you dream to work in one day (ex. commercial, residential, hospitality, medical, etc.)?
My dream design sector to work in is mostly commercial but a focus on multifamily and hospitality.

👩🏼‍💻 What has been your favorite project you have completed during your time at NDSU thus far?
My favorite project I have worked on so far in the NDSU Interior Design program has been the CCPAC (Capitol City Pediatric Asthma Center) which we completed in the Spring of 2025. It was the first group project we completed and also the first healthcare project we worked on! I work best when collaborating with others and bouncing ideas off of each other. It was also a children’s asthma center so we got to have a lot of fun with colors and patterns!

🍝 If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Any kind of pasta!
