🦋✨ The Monarch Butterfly is a mysterious and magical traveler.
Every year, millions of Monarchs journey from Michigan to Michoacán, Mexico, completing one of nature’s most incredible migrations. Interestingly, both places share a deep connection to water. The name Michoacán comes from the Purépecha language and is often interpreted as “place near the water,” while Michigan derives from an Indigenous word meaning “great water” or “large lake.”
Just like the Monarch, we came to Michigan seeking transformation, growth, and new beginnings. Looking back, it’s amazing to see how much our lives have changed and blossomed along the way. 🧡
