October is prime time for kitchen projects, and one question we hear a lot is: what floor actually holds up in a kitchen long term? 🤔

Here's what matters most in this room specifically:

🍳 Comfort underfoot. You stand here for long stretches. Materials with a little give, like LVP or cushioned tile, make a real difference over time.

💧 True waterproofing. Kitchens see spills constantly. Water resistant is not the same as waterproof. Know which you're getting before you buy.

🌡️ Stability. Kitchens experience heat, humidity, and temperature changes. Materials that expand and contract significantly can cause problems over time.

🧹 Ease of cleaning. Grout lines, texture, and finish all affect how easy the floor is to maintain day to day.
