Before and after pictures of a client's stunning kitchen transformation:
What started off as a dark and dated space has been reimagined into a light, bright and modern kitchen. We selected Carolina Heartwoods, Asheville Grey, for all of the cabinetry. The countertops are Infinity Gold Quartz showcasing beautiful movement of grey and gold veining which we paired with a more simple glossy subway tile backsplash for balance. To maximize efficiency and everyday functionality, we incorporated several pullouts and organizers. These pullouts include a large spice rack located next to the range, a peg board drawer organizer for organizing dishes, a pullout paper towel holder with storage below it, and a cutlery drawer insert for organizing utensils. This redesigned kitchen now offers improved flow and easier maneuvering for the homeowners and users.

Beautiful after photos of a client's kitchen remodel:
This kitchen design includes an L shape perimeter layout, with a large butcher block walnut top island in the center. On both sides of the windows, we incorporated floating shelves in the same color as the cabinetry, with exposed hardware for an industrial look. We selected US Cabinet Depot cabinets, Oxford Sage, for all cabinetry. The quartz countertops are Carrara Mist by World Stone. The tile backsplash is a 3x12 glossy ceramic tile, and goes all the way up to the ceiling. For above the island, we chose an industrial look linear light fixture, as well as 2 wall sconces above the sink for task lighting.

Describe this Zellige tile shower with one word:

Zellige: handmade Moroccan or French tile. The hottest tile trend in kitchen and bathroom remodeling. Irregular shades, irregular shapes; truly organic look and feel! Breathtaking in their simplicity.
I have multiple vendors/options/price ranges. Is this right for you?

Typically, I don't purchase appliances for my clients. Primarily, I want them to hold the contract with the vendor through whom the appliance was purchased so that in the event that the appliance is in need of repair, especially during the warranty period, the homeowner will have a direct line to the vendor and can submit their service requests more expeditiously.
That being said, I do offer to review the appliances my clients want to purchase to assure compatibility with the kitchen cabinetry design/layout I have developed on the behalf. Occasionally, I am asked about panel ready appliances. I am more than happy to design a kitchen to accommodate these appliances however there are several factors to consider:
1. The appliances themselves are significantly more expensive than the traditional counterpart.
2. The panels for the appliances add appreciably to the cost of the cabinets and installation charges.
3. Panel ready appliances are notorious for breaking down/in need of repair.
4. Repairmen and parts for panel ready appliances can be hard to find resulting in lengthy periods of time wherein the appliance is out of commission.
5. The design trend for panel ready appliances is over. Nothing will date a kitchen faster than incorporation of last decade's hot design trend.

You picked the wrong dishwasher. You won't know it for about three years — until the proprietary panel warps, the repair technician tells you the part is discontinued, or you realise the filter has been sitting in a puddle of standing water since you moved in.By then, you've already spent $1,400.Sp...

Let's see some before and after photos of our most recent kitchen!!!! Our task was to bring this kitchen into the 21st century and create better traffic flow/maneuverability without sacrificing storage. The homeowner also requested more light. We selected US Cabinet Depot cabinets: Dove Grey Shaker for the wall cabinets and tall pantry cabinet along with Oxford Sage base cabinets for the island and perimeter bases. The quartz countertops are Calacatta Parea by TVS. Tile backsplash is a 2" matte white Arabesque mosaic with pewter grout. How'd we do?

How many of these optimizations would you like me to incorporate into your new kitchen???? Many "old" kitchen features are back in vogue. Let's get started on your new kitchen!

For years, designers have prioritized sleek aesthetics over practicality, but as Reynard Lowell points out, many highly functional elements have quietly disappeared. These overlooked kitchen design ideas highlight forgotten features that once made everyday cooking, storage, and cleaning far more eff...
