Raising awareness about stroke and support for stroke survivors

10/27/2026

A great time was had tonight!

We would like to thank everyone who came out and showed off how talented this community really is.

Tonight was amazing and it wouldn't be possible without all of you!

Tonight our thoughts are with one of the co-creator's of Poetry on the Porch David R. Blackwell. As he prepares for neck repair surgery tomorrow morning.

We wish you a successful surgery, a speedy healing, and a full recovery!

We hope you all will join us again next month for the next Poetry on the Porch.

🍂 THIS MONDAY!!! POETRY ON THE PORCH IS BACK FOR OCTOBER! 🍂

Come pull up a chair and spend an evening with us at The Farmer’s Cat Café for another night of creativity, conversation, laughter, and community.

Yes, there will be poetry.

But there’s more to Poetry on the Porch than poetry.

It’s a place to share something you’ve created, hear something you’ve never heard before, meet some good people, and just enjoy being part of the room. You can bring your own work, listen to local voices, or simply come hang out and see what happens.

🎙️ Monday, October 26th

🕕 6:00–8:00 PM

📍 The Farmer's Cat Café
2589 Gillespie Street, Fayetteville, NC

Hosted by DrBridget Sherese Crumb
Presented by Gray Matters Survivor Press
Created by Mike Gaddy & David R. Blackwell

Whether you're a writer, artist, performer, storyteller, musician, or just someone who appreciates good people and good words—we'd love to have you on the porch.

A porch. A poem. A moment. Your voice matters.

🍂 Come be part of it.
🐾 Bring a friend.
🎙️ Bring your voice.
❤️ Or just bring yourself.

Real people. Real words. Real connection.

See you on the porch!

Join us on October 17, November 7, and November 28 at 2485 Hope Mills Road, next to TruFit Gyms & Fitness. Shop local vendors, find something unique, and connect with small businesses in our community.

Calling all authors, artists, makers, and small business owners: Would you like to be a vendor? Food trucks are needed, too!

Comment “VENDOR” below or send me a message, and I’ll send you the link to contact the organizers about fees and availability.
