Bear cub refuses to lose another brother. A shop owner near the woods couldn’t believe what he saw on his security camera: a mother black bear walking past with her cub and a tiny fawn beside them.
Another trail camera later captured the fawn nursing from the bear. Wildlife officials believe the fawn had lost its mother, while the bear may have recently lost one of her own cubs. Her maternal instincts took over, and she accepted the deer as part of the family.
Now, whenever anyone gets too close, the bear cub reportedly rushes forward to protect the fawn. It’s as if he already lost one brother and refuses to lose another.
