Check out these before and after shots of our recent Tourmaline Project. It’s amazing what flooring a built-in cabinetry can do for a space! We replaced the carpet with hardwood and designed a custom built-in bar/display. We also replaced all of the furniture, lighting, and made custom cushions and pillows to add some layers.

We recently completed a refresh/remodel project where we replaced dated granite countertops and micro mosaic backsplash with this gorgeous Taj Mahal quartzite. (Scroll to the end to see the before image) We loved how these slabs didn’t look like your typical Taj Mahal. It’s much darker and striated which made for a dramatic but elegant update. We love how it turned out!

A drastic but needed change. It’s hard to even picture the way this home looked before!

They’re finally here! Our Hidden Hollow project final photos! Working with this creative client was truly a fun experience. The pink crystalo counters in the kitchen may be our favorite detail. The walnut floor and cabinetry are a close second. Every detail was carefully crafted and executed between us, the contractor, the clients, and all of the hard working sub contractors. It really was a group effort! Just wait until you see the before and after pics!

Welcome our newest team member! Mikaela officially joined Het Hout this spring as a junior designer after interning for us this past year. We’re so excited to have her on board!
Mikaela recently graduated from Northern Arizona University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design. She loves finding inspiration through different experiences, whether that’s travel, fashion, interiors, or art. Outside of design, she enjoys spending time with her dog, visiting her family in Gilbert, thrifting, baking, and finding new crafts to pick up.
