Here’s how I turned this little cat on a crescent moon into a vintage-inspired Halloween decoration! I painted the cat black, added a purple ruffle and tiny top hat, and gave it a whole new spooky look. 🐈‍⬛🌙 What do you think of the makeover?

I’ve admired her dahlias all summer, and she even let me pick some! She brought big bouquets to work to share with everyone—and now she’s shared a bunch of tubers with me, too. I’m so grateful! Come along while I clean them up and get them ready for winter storage. 🌸

Don’t toss those dahlias at the end of the season! 🌸 I’m cleaning them up and getting them ready for winter storage. Last year, I just threw mine in a plastic bin, and they came out just fine—so I’m keeping it simple again this year!

I was browsing a vintage store in my hometown of Hickory when I spotted a whole glass case of Hyalyn pottery. I collect vintage ashtrays, so those caught my eye first—but it was even cooler to learn Hyalyn was started right here in 1946 by Leslie and Frances Moody. I love finding little pieces of Hickory history while I’m out vintage shopping! 🏺✨
