He's wearing a recent design of bandanna - The first initial of his name sewn with glass beads, Did you know that glass beads were first created about 3,500 years ago in Egypt and Mesopotamia? Ever since then glass bead designs and bead-making techniques grew increasingly complex. The ancient glassmakers were initially making glass from just three simple components - sand quartz, soda ash and limestone. Sand was collected from the shore and was not pure, containing traces of other minerals. Therefore, glass came out randomly colored depending on the minerals found in the sand. Did you know that the oldest flower so far discovered is the 130- million-year-old aquatic plant Montsechia vidalii unearthed in Spain in 2015. However it is thought that flowering plants first appeared much earlier than this, sometime between 250 and 140 million years ago. Pete is wearing the Large version of the bandanna. Interesting fact about sheep you wouldn't BAAA-lieve: During WWI, President Woodrow Wilson had a flock of sheep that he used to trim the lawns at the White House. Fun Fact: The exact origins of the mythical Easter rabbitl are unclear, but rabbits, known to be prolific pro-creators, are an ancient symbol of fertility and new life. According to some sources, the Easter bunny first arrived in America in the 1700s with German immigrants who settled in Pennsylvania and transported their tradition of an egg-laying hare called “Osterhase” or “Oschter Haws.” Their children made nests in which this creature could lay its colored eggs.
