We have a drone!
L&M Group’s Building Envelope Division, based at LED’s office, can now take photos and videos of buildings from the air. The drone also has a thermal camera and the ability to collect point cloud data. We can visually assess a roof’s condition, spot any gaps in the building’s thermal barrier, and create a 3D model to work off of. We’re so excited to fly around buildings with this amazing tool!

We are looking forward to a fantastic school year at Florence High School! Thanks to our amazing Florence City Schools Board members, Superintendent Bill Hopkins, Lambert Ezell Durham Architecture, LLC and so many others, FHS has a brand new parking lot! We also want to send a shout out to Florence Alabama Police Department and our FHS School Resource Officers for their help with planning and traffic flow!

Traffic is challenging at the beginning of every school year as we all learn the routine together. Please be patient and remember that it will be slow the first two to three weeks, but will gradually improve everyday until arrival and departure runs like a well-oiled machine!

In honor of the upcoming start of the school year, here's a throwback to when we did Florence High School's Administration Offices!

Square Footage: 8,080 sf
Contractor: Johnson Contractors
Following the construction of the Florence Freshman Center, an addition to Florence High School was designed to serve the administration of the school better and to serve as the main entry to Florence High School’s campus. Exterior design elements were taken from the newly constructed freshman center including the tall entry space with arched roofline, exterior brick materials and window treatments. The interior houses administration offices for the entirety of Florence High School.
