Children Need Fun, Functional, AND Safe!
A playroom is more than a spot to stash toys; it’s where your kids explore, imagine, and practice new skills. The goal is to create a room that feels playful for them but still makes sense with the rest of your home. Safety is the best place to start. Make sure sharp furniture edges are covered with corner protectors, especially on tables and low pieces that little ones might bump into. Choose rugs with non-slip backing or add rug pads underneath so excited running and tumbling don’t turn into slips and falls. Anchor heavy items like bookshelves and cabinets to the wall so curious climbers can’t pull them over. And when you’re picking toy storage, look for bins or chests with safety lids that close slowly rather than slam shut on small fingers. Once those basics are in place, you can focus on the fun part. Add some color, toys, and cozy spots that make the playroom a place your kids want to be!!!
