Last night’s Light Parade was a blast, and this morning we headed to the Fishing Derby… where the fish can all breathe a sigh of relief. 😂🐟

🦌💚 Sometimes God Puts the Brakes on Your Busy Day… 💚🦌

✔️ YMCA drop-off… check.
✔️ Drive back… check.
✔️ Mentally trying to figure out how to squeeze 5,000 things into one day… check. 🤯☕🚗

The funny thing is… the drive to Carbondale used to feel like such a hike. Now that I make it ten times a day, it feels like it’s just around the corner! 😂

Then… I literally had to pull over.

Not because of traffic.
Not because my phone rang.
But because this beautiful mama deer and her babies quietly stepped into view and reminded me that sometimes the most important thing on your to-do list is to simply pause. 💚🦌

Forest City has truly become our home away from home. ❤️ I’ve been a lot of places, but I honestly can’t think of anywhere else where moments like this are just part of an ordinary day. The wildlife, the fresh mountain air, the rolling mountains, and the genuinely kind people are what make this place so special. It really is God’s Country, and we’re grateful every day that we get to spend so much time here. 🙏🌲
