✨ The magic is in the layers! ✨
Every beautiful room starts with a foundation—the furniture, flooring, and key pieces that anchor the space. But it's the layers that truly bring a room to life!
Wallpaper, rugs, lighting, textiles, artwork, and those carefully curated finishing touches add depth, texture, and personality.
It's all about mixing colors, patterns, and materials to create a space that feels collected, inviting, and uniquely yours.
Because great design isn't just about filling a room…it's about bringing it to life, one layer at a time! 🤎

🚨 WARNING: No pillow is safe around an interior designer! 😂

I can’t help myself… fluffing, chopping, rearranging, and adjusting until every pillow is just right. It’s a gift… and maybe a little bit of a problem. 🤷‍♀️🛋️

Who else can relate? 🙋‍♀️

A little powder room with a lot of personality. 🤍

This design incorporates patterned wallpaper, a classic checkerboard floor, vintage-inspired vanity, and warm brass accents to create a space that feels timeless, collected, and just a little unexpected.

One of my favorite things about design? Creating a little bit of joy, one room at a time. ✨

New project alert! This pantry revamp is part of an ongoing redesign project for a very special client. 😀 We are taking full advantage of every nook and cranny in this space! I like to present multiple design ideas when it comes to storage spaces. sometimes you don't know what you need until you see it. 👀

Here is a sneak peek into the design and planning phase which is a very crucial part of the whole process. Next we will meet the carpenter on site to take measurements and finalize the design! 😄

🥂 9 YEARS!

Nine years ago, I took a leap and started J. Marie Interiors—and what a journey it’s been!

Nine years of designing beautiful, functional spaces, working with incredible clients, sourcing one-of-a-kind pieces, and creating a little bit of joy one room at a time. 🤍

So grateful for everyone who has supported me along the way. Here’s to 9 years—and many more to come! ✨

There’s something about the glow of a lamp that instantly makes a room feel more inviting. ✨
Lamps aren’t just about adding light—they create ambience, warmth, and atmosphere. I love using a mix of table lamps, floor lamps, and accent lighting to create layers of light throughout a space.
Turn off the overhead lights, turn on a few lamps, and suddenly the room feels softer, cozier, and a little more special.
Sometimes it’s the smallest details that make a house feel like home. 🤍

We are selecting stone for an upcoming shower renovation! Adding stone slabs to your shower not only adds an element of beauty to the Design, it is also very functional! Stone slab pieces can be added to bench seats, niches, shower curbs, and windowsills! Adding earth's treasures to your home is always a good choice. 💎

Some of my favorite spaces to design are the ones that often get overlooked... like the pantry. 😀

A pantry should absolutely be functional, but that doesn't mean it has to be boring. A bold pop of color, beautiful wallpaper, an unexpected light fixture, unique hardware, or thoughtfully styled shelving can turn an everyday space into something that makes you smile every time you open the door.

One of the things I love most about interior design is creating little moments of joy throughout a home—one room at a time. Because even the spaces that aren't always seen deserve beautiful design.

These custom floral drapes add a bit of fun and whimsy to this living and dining room space. I love layering draperies and shades to give a room some much needed texture and dimension. The gorgeous countryside views from these windows just got a little bit sweeter. 😍

Marble has remained a favorite for centuries, it's natural beauty and elegant character create a bathroom that feels luxurious today and will still look beautiful years from now.

When selecting finishes, I always encourage clients to think beyond trends. Investing in timeless materials creates a home that ages gracefully and adds lasting value.
