Dahlias are like a box of chocolates… you never know what you’re gonna get!

And THESE TWO I found blooming in the garden this morning?! Gorgeous!

Some people carefully label every dahlia tuber. And then there’s me…

“Ooooh, pretty tuber.” PLANT IT.
“What variety is it?” No idea.
“Did you label it?” Absolutely not. 😂

Honestly, that’s my favorite part about dahlias. Every bloom is a surprise!

Could I label them better? Yes.
Will I? Probably not.

$25 each — bouquet or medium arrangement!

🌸 What am I working on today?

Drying a gorgeous bouquet of hydrangeas! And my inspiration? Garden Answer, of course. 😂🌿

The trick is knowing WHEN to cut them. Wait until the blooms have aged, the color starts to change and fade, and the petals get that almost papery feel.

Then cut them at an angle to the right length for your vase, put them in just about an inch of water, and leave them alone! The water slowly disappears and the hydrangeas dry beautifully right in the vase. 🙌

The result? A gorgeous hydrangea arrangement that can last for YEARS…

or until it gets so dusty you finally give up on it. 😂😂

Ooh, I’m kind of excited about this one!

I am working with a grower that carries beautiful hydrangea trees, including Proven Winners varieties! These are your favorite hydrangeas trained into gorgeous little trees—and they make such an amazing statement in the garden.

They’re a lot more spendy than your typical hydrangea shrub, but how about one of these for a showpiece in your yard or garden?

I just placed our order, and we’re hoping to have a beautiful variety available at Redwood Roadside Bouquets this coming season. I seriously cannot wait to see these arrive in the spring!

I’ll share more about the varieties, sizes, and availability as we get closer. Got quite a few coming. Can't save for anyone because I want to make sure the product is as expected.

Since Facebook won’t let me post the bouquet pictures AND the directions video together, here’s exactly how to find our Bouquet Cooler at 100 Red Hawk Lane.

Anytime I announce that bouquets are available, this is where you’ll pick them up!

Today we have FOUR $25 bouquets available. Be person #1, #2, #3 or #4 to comment that you’re coming to get one.

And please, please don’t be person #5 and drive all the way out here to stare sadly into an empty cooler. 😂

Sold out for today!!

Okay, here we go… our first Cooler Bouquet trial!

We have 4 fresh $25 bouquets available today! I harvested yesterday between rainstorms because apparently Cindy is made of sugar and might melt in the rain. 😂 But boy, are we THANKFUL for that rain!

The bouquets are in the cooler at 100 Red Hawk Lane — our residence, NOT the nursery. The nursery is officially closed for the season.

Just follow the driveway back, walk around the garage to the cooler, pick your favorite bouquet and help yourself. Don’t worry if we aren’t home—you don’t need us!

If you want one, comment below that you’re coming for one. Once 4 people have spoken for them, we’re done for the day!

Bouquets are $25 each. You can Venmo me or leave cash right in the cooler—whatever is easiest. And if we need to figure it out later, we will. We’re keeping this simple!

I’ve attached a little video showing exactly where to find the cooler.

Then we’ll wait for the sun to come back out, Cindy will bravely venture back into the flower field, and we’ll try it again! 😂🌸

📣 Okay… Redwood Roadside Bouquets is going to TOOT OUR OWN HORN for a minute! 📣🌸

This was our VERY FIRST year as a nursery, and look at what we have left to winter over! 👏👏👏

Not bad, guys. NOT BAD! 😂🌿
I’m pretty darn happy with this!

All of our annuals are GONE — which means no loss there! 🙌 And our perennials? They’ve all been pruned and cut back, tucked in and ready to winter over. 🌱

Come spring, they’ll start shooting right back up and will be retail-ready before we know it! 💚

For our first nursery season, I’m calling this a BIG WIN! 🎉

And we couldn't have done it without all of YOU.

Well done, community! You showed up, supported our little nursery, bought a whole lot of plants 😂🌸, and helped make our first year better than we could have hoped.

Now Cindy has all winter to plan what kind of plant trouble we can get everyone into next year. 😂🌿🌸
