SOL III is an exclusive collection of 1-of-1 wood impressions - never replicated.

Each piece begins as original photography, digitally manipulated, then hand-pressed onto wood using my original ink transfer technique. Washed and detailed by hand for a vintage coastal patina you can only experience in person.

SHOWING ON CAPTIVA - Closing Week (ends Sunday)
Tides & Times - A coastal art exhibit featuring SOL III, the latest collection of twelve 1-of-1 wood impressions by artist Lafe James.

Each piece is handcrafted, large-format, and completely unique — never recreated, never repeated. Inspired by Florida’s coastline, sun, and sky, SOL III layers nostalgic coastal tones with weathered, vintage textures to create a feeling you can only experience in person.

If you’re in Captiva, Sanibel, or Fort Myers, this is your chance to see the full collection of these massive 6ft pieces up close. The collection is on display, and a limited number of pieces are available for collectors during the exhibit.

🎨🌤️🌊🌴I’m excited to announce my first actual exhibit, Tides & Times, now showing at the Captiva Civic Association.

📍 1550 Chapin Lane, Captiva

I’m honored to be exhibiting alongside photographer Shane Antalick, whose work pairs beautifully with the coastal spirit of this show.

For this exhibit, I created 12 of my largest wood impressions, a new collection titled Sol lll. Inspired by coastal Florida and my love for all things space.

Each piece is 1 of 1, unique, never seen before, and never to be recreated again. Signed, numbered, and includes a signed certificate of authenticity.

If you’re in the Sanibel and Captiva area, I invite you to visit this exhibit to see it in person. These pictures just don’t do it justice. (The additional pics show the work not-yet hung😆)

All pieces from the Sol III collection are available for collectors during the exhibit.
