The owner of Stonecutters Lapidary has spent over 40 years in the gem and mineral business. David Siskin is a Graduate Gemologist from the Gemological Institute of America. David opened and ran a highly successful gem and mineral gallery on 5th avenue in Naples Florida. The Crystal Cat.
He owned and operated the Caribbean Gemological Institute for over 20 years. Traveling throughout the Caribbean Cruise Ports, Mexico, Alaska and Florida. Teaching Jewelers in over 240 jewelry stores how to sell fine jewelry, completing gemological work, and assisting in changing retail policies in many of the Islands. As a writer he has been published in Diamond Trade magazines (DeBeers) with over 240 published articles. He traveled throughout the world researching new finds, new treatments, diamonds and gemstones. Dave is a gifted lapidary artist, working in our Lapidary Studio to produce fabulous pieces. Many of his beautiful pieces are available at Spirit of the Earth in the Historic River District of Ft Myers Florida. Our gemological team visits the actual mines, miners and locations where our items are found. Traveling around the world in search of fine gems, crystals and rocks. It's a passion that we wish to pass on to our customers! We have a deep appreciation for ethically sourced stones. Since Dave has extensive connections within the industry we are able to obtain wonderful items from top collectors and miners. Sometimes we receive texts straight from the fields of fabulous finds. We never know what is coming in next! We are constantly adding new products. Our goal is to become the TOP source for fine Crystals, rocks, fossils and jewelry design items.
