Need a last minute Valentine's gift for a wine lover in your life? I have some wine glass holders left that would be a perfect fit! I have these 4 left on hand so it's first come first serve to get them before V-day, but I can take orders for more in the future. They can be made in other wood combinations, as well.

I have wanted to get into making keepsake boxes for a while and I got to try out some things on this walnut and hickory box I made as part of my wife's Christmas presents. It holds the dragon eggs she had been wanting for a long time. I wanted to do something a little different so I crafted a leather strap with snaps to hold it shut, sort of like a leather bound journal. She was very happy with it, and that's the best Christmas present

Little side project I did in between sanding the 100+ components for the karate belt rack orders I'm currently working through.

Hickory and walnut charcuterie/serving board with brushed nickel handles. It has rubber feet on the underside, as well. I have been looking for a way to use that piece of hickory for a while. I love walnut, but I don't think hickory gets enough love.

My first foray into the D&D/board game accessories market. A personal dice rolling tray, in cherry. I'm happy with how it turned out. Rubber feet to keep it from slipping and protect the table top or game board, and felt lining to protect the dice and fingertips.

I can finally talk about Mary's bday present lol. I didn't want to post anything about the build process so she wouldn't know about it, but I had a lot of fun designing and figuring this one out. It also helps to wait until it is in use to show the full idea of a project. There is something truly satisfying about taking rough cut hardwood and milling, cutting and crafting every component yourself. Like she mentioned, I had originally planned to add some contrasting Hickory accents to the doors, but she liked it plain just showing the figure of those walnut panels so we left it like that. I'm pleased with how it turned out. I didnt realize how much jewelry she actually had on her vanity but she immediately filled it up 😲 lol.

Yesterday she gave me about the best compliment a man can hear as a husband and father. She said (paraphrasing) 'you know, you're raising the bar for what the girls are gonna expect from a husband', alluding to the fact some of the kids had already seen it and were a bit jealous that mom got a new jewelry box made especially for her.

I'll be sharing a couple of progress photos of this build shortly.
