Feeling overwhelmed by your scrapbook stash?

My 1-2-3 Kit Process is designed to make scrapbook layouts faster, easier, and more fun! These close-ups are a peek inside one of the kits I created using my 1-2-3 Process.

✨ 1 base pages using 123 kit papers
✨ 2 photo configuration
✨ 3 embellishments in a visual triangle

By making a few decisions up front, I can sit down and scrapbook without the stress of starting from scratch every time.

Want to see exactly how I create my kits and use my 1-2-3 Process? Check out my latest YouTube video!

Do you scrapbook with kits, or do you start fresh for every layout?

Sure, I’m scrapbooking…

But I’m also catching up on my favorite TV shows, movies, YouTube videos, podcasts, and playlists while I craft. 😂

The reality is that a lot of my creative time looks like this: watching the screen, trimming paper, watching the screen, cranking the embossing machine, watching the screen, cleaning stamps, and occasionally remembering what project I was working on.

Tell me I’m not alone!

Before you throw away those foreign-language die cuts, give them a second look! 👀

I found 4 simple ways to transform them into usable titles and embellishments for scrapbook layouts. From covering words with banners to rearranging letters into entirely new words, these stash-busting tricks can save supplies and spark creativity.

Which technique would you try first?

Currently, I am totally loving the Scalloped Blooms die set.

It’s a new product by Stampin’ Up! The scalloped circular shapes make perfect cluster bases and landing spots for journaling and titles. I adore the finished edge.

There are 7 size choices and the smallest resembles a perfect sized flower. It’s a good thing this set includes leaves and flower centers!

The scalloped tags are surprisingly fun and easy to use when you need that little accent or pop of color on your layouts.

Project Catch-Up is in full swing! 🎉

There’s something so satisfying about finally getting photos off your phone and onto scrapbook pages.

This layout is part of a recent batch of completed projects, and I’m loving how the simple design keeps the focus on the memories while still incorporating fun patterned papers and embellishments.

I used the Hobby Haven designer series paper that come with awesome die cut pieces. As well as the new Scalloped Blooms die set for my cluster bases and details.

One thing I’ve been working on lately is creating more consistency across my albums by intentionally repeating papers and design elements throughout multiple layouts. It’s a simple approach that helps tie everything together without making every page look the same.

What’s your favorite part of creating a layout—choosing papers, arranging photos, embellishing, or adding the finishing touches?

I’d love to hear in the comments! 💜

Do your vacation layouts ever feel like they’re either:

👉 Completely disconnected from page to page

OR

👉 Every layout looks exactly the same?

While working on my cruise layouts, I started using what I’m calling the Double Dip Method—a simple way to repeat papers and design elements throughout a multiple day vacation to create consistency without making every layout feel repetitive.

In this Project Catch Up video, I’m sharing completed layouts and explaining how I used this approach throughout my cruise pages.

Have you ever intentionally repeated papers across multiple layouts in an album?

I’d love to hear your thoughts below! 💜

I’ve been working on finishing several scrapbook layouts, including pages from a 2019 cruise, and I wanted to share a quick flip through of the completed projects.

As I was creating these pages, I developed what I’m calling the Double Dip Method—a simple approach to using a paper collection across multiple layouts while keeping the layouts cohesive and visually connected.

Take a peek at the finished pages here, and if you’d like to learn more about the method, check out the Project Catch Up video on YouTube.
