Long and somewhat rambling post incoming! 😅
I've been thinking a lot lately about what our company tagline means to me. When we first started our business, all I really knew was I wanted to help people, to provide a service, to provide some value, and "Connect and Serve" sounded really good. Catchy.
The meaning behind that phrase has evolved with our business over the years, so what does it mean to me now?
It means, People First, always.
So what does that look like in practice when you have us out for an estimate? Or what does that look like when you refer us to your parents, your grandparents, your siblings, your uncles & aunts?
It means you get me, James smith, your friend, who is there to help you figure out a solution to your problem. Not a faceless corporation, or a business that prioritizes sales numbers and statistics over people, but genuine friend who is actually there to help you as a friend.
Sometimes that means walking away from a project because we're not the right fit for you. Sometimes, it means that a simple window cleaning is not enough to solve your problem.
Don't get me wrong, I want to take your money, and I want to do the work for you! But I also want to be responsible with your money.
So what does "Connect and Serve" mean to us now?
It means the money is an afterthought to us. It means that we are a people business that just happens to clean windows and make a profit along the way.
It means we're going to serve you, as we would a friend, to the best of our ability, and if we can't we're sure as heck going to connect you with somebody who can!
