Alex Green came in for a Date Night Class with his wife in 2023 and experienced throwing on the wheel for the first time. He then did the fall Raku Class and became a member! Alex recently returned to his membership after a hiatus while establishing the Lexington restaurant as head chef. He even made the condiment cups for the restaurant’s bar here at Broadway Clay!
Interestingly, Alex compares glazing pottery to “plateing the food” — with both art forms supporting the dining experience with sensitive presentation.
He chooses to drive from Lexington because the community of the studio is so valuable, with sharing tips and tricks, and other members’ genuine interest in each other’s work. He considers the membership an exceptional opportunity to hone his functional pottery skills. We love having artist and chef, Alex, in the studio!
