The journey to launching Oakleaf Designs started for Bill Oakes in 7th grade shop class in Noblesville, Indiana. He turned a piece of walnut 4X4 post into a lamp for his mother on a lathe. He was hooked on woodworking from then on. However, high school, college, marriage, a family and a career in journalism and health care administration got in the way. Thanks to his recent retirement he and his w

ife and high school sweat heart have launched Oakleaf Designs. Their goal is producing high quality, hand crafted furniture and home décor in the vintage style. Bring them a design idea and they'll make it happen.
