📚 Mood Board Monday: Back-to-School Edition 🍎

Back-to-school season means busy afternoons, homework at the counter, backpacks by the door, dinner on the stove…and everyone somehow ending up in the kitchen. ❤️

This week’s mood board is all about creating a kitchen that works for real family life. A place where Mom and Dad can get supper going while the kids tackle homework nearby — without everyone feeling like they’re on top of each other.

At The Inside Story, we spend a lot of time helping our clients choose the right flooring — the right color, the right construction, the right performance level and the right product for the way they actually live.

But even the best flooring in the world is only as good as the installation beneath it.

Think of it like a beautiful piece of artwork. You can hand two people the same premium paints, the same brushes and the same canvas — but the finished result can look completely different depending on the experience, skill, preparation and attention to detail of the person holding the brush.

Flooring is no different.

There is a big difference between someone who knows how to install flooring and a seasoned flooring installer who understands the craft.

Experienced installers know what to look for before the first plank or tile ever goes down. They understand subfloor preparation, moisture, transitions, expansion requirements, layouts, cuts, seams and all of those little details that most people will never notice — unless they’re done incorrectly.

And sometimes, experience means knowing when not to install yet.

We live in a world of tutorials, videos and “professional DIY’ers,” and we’re all for learning how things work. But some projects benefit enormously from years of hands-on experience.
