This reel took waaay longer than it should have. Between daycare being closed this week, starting some new things at work, and juggling all of parenthood, this is a real glimpse into my current life. And I’m still learning to take moments of zen here and there, as always.🫶

I love creating a new theme for My Good Brain’s art studio every month! 🤗🌻 This July, sunflowers will be bursting in bright yellow all throughout the space, accompanied by some busy bees!🐝 Not sure I’m done yet, but I wanted to show the progress so far. Also—tempera paint sticks, where have you been all my life?? 🖍️🤩 Hope you can come visit us at the studio this month!🎨

My daughter knows how to work me…she asked for a Totoro hair clip. So I fell into a rabbit hole of clay art, and learned how to make her one. Lol! Still a beginner by all standards, but not bad for upcycling an old hair clip of hers with a new design on top!💗🪄✨

And yes, we are obsessed with Studio Ghibli films at the moment! 🤗

Just completed a 2-day arts education training with CoTA (Collaborations: Teachers & Artists) with a scholarship and I’m so inspired to create new curriculum for our youngest students! I would love to meet more teaching artists. So fun using art to teach kids English Language Arts, Math, Science, and of course, social-emotional learning. Here’s to me trying new art mediums in 2026 🤗—from quilt making, to puppetry, dance, theatre, and collage art, wish me luck!💫
