I found this pattern (I think it was a crochet pattern) but instantly thought it would make a cute pixel quilt! Now time to chain piece it and get it quilted.

I completely surprised the husband with two of his gifts this year, this blanket being one of them. It was definitely a labor of love as I first had to create the "fabric" before cutting it out and sewing it on!
