The original reel for this was very popular!!! Many of you wanted to know “what green is this?”

Due to this bring a digitally created image for the purpose of demonstration, the color wasn’t specific.

But, I decided to do my best to figure it out! I think Vogue Green is the best match for it. What do you think???

If you decide to paint your room to look like this one, don’t forget lighting will change everything, so test your colors first.

I hope this helps!!

Thinking about painting?

All of these rooms are exactly the same, but the area where the paint changes color makes them all feel different!

White crown and white ceiling make the ceiling feel lower. If you have really high ceilings, this might be a good idea.

Having the ceiling the same color as the walls, gives it a more intimate feeling. This works especially well if you choose a room in a deeper color.

And painting the crown the same as the wall color will create the illusion of high ceilings and the ceiling is less noticeable.

Think before you paint! What are you trying to achieve? How high are your ceilings? 8’ ceilings and 20’ ceilings are very different from each other and should be painted accordingly.

Paint can really change the dynamic of the room.

When you choose something as a sample and it’s even better installed!!!

I could not be happier with how this wallpaper turned out!! And now I can’t wait to see the main part of the bathroom wallpaper installed. So excited. That will happen in a couple of weeks.

Painting a room can have dramatic effects. The traditional style of painting the walls one color and all the trim white, can make walls seem shorter and ceilings lower. Which in really high ceiling rooms, can be a good idea!

Painting the room and the ceiling the same color can also help bring a ceiling height down a bit and make the room seem more intimate and cozy; especially in rooms with color.

And painting the walls and the crown in the same color, but leaving the ceiling white, will give the illusion of higher ceilings and that the ceiling almost disappears.

There are so many other tricks to make rooms look larger, longer, smaller, cozier, and they are all done with paint. So, the next time you are painting a room, think about the feeling you want the room to have. Think about your ceiling heights and if you want them higher or lower. A room with 8’ ceilings vs a room with 20’ ceilings can really matter where you stop your paint.

With open floor plans and high ceilings, there are ways to make the room more intimate and less wide open. Ask your designer for help!

If your room feels off, it just might be the paint.

Be creative, be bold, but never boring! Have fun with your home.
