As a small business owner, I wear all the hats—candle maker, CEO, CFO, sales clerk, website designer, product manager, and more. Every candle is created with intention, prayer, and attention to detail because I know my products, my brand, and the purpose God has placed on my heart.

Modern Roots Candle Co. is more than candles—it’s a ministry woven into a business. My prayer is that every product points people back to Christ, brings peace into their homes, and serves as a reminder to stay rooted in Him.

POV: You’re trying to relax on a Sunday, but your brain says, “What if we completely redesign the market setup… right now?” 😂

So naturally, my living room has become a full-blown mock market booth because I couldn’t stop thinking about it.

Small business problems:
✨ The dining table is temporary storage.
✨ Every crate has been moved 10 times.
✨ I absolutely will be rearranging it again before market day.

Always working. Always tweaking. Always wondering if the candles should move 3 inches to the left. 🤎

We’re excited to kick off our third season of Moonlight Market s this Saturday! Join us for the first of two evening markets in 2026 and enjoy a night filled with shopping, food, drinks, and live music in Downtown Sanger.

With 70+ vendors setting up, there will be plenty to browse, plenty to eat, and plenty of reasons to stay awhile. Grab your friends, enjoy the cooler evening air, and spend the night supporting local businesses under the lights.
