I’m 26, recently moved to town, and am already so in love with this community! As a trans woman, a psychology student, and a roller derby skater, I love connecting with people—which is exactly why I co-founded Barks, Beads & Brushstrokes with my best friend.
While jaryn is the one to bring the gorgeous art to life, I handle the business, tech, and social media side of things. (Though you’ll also find me making our beaded bracelets and jewelry!)

Hiii I’m Jaryn! I’m a 25-year-old artist, a recent Gainesville transplant, and a proud bisexual creator navigating the world with a beautifully chaotic AuDHD brain. As a Virgo-Libra cusp, I live in the sweet spot between meticulous detail and aesthetic harmony.
My art is fueled by the things that make life interesting: the raw beauty of nature, the fascinating transition between life and death, and the curious charm of oddities. 🪴💀 I started this business because standard, mass-produced art doesn't cut it—my brain thrives on creating custom, personalized pieces that carry real meaning and energy.
When I’m not brewing up new concepts in the studio, I’m being a chaotic hype-woman (yes, I will stop you in public to compliment your vibe) or hanging out with my three familiar spirits: Tobias the Great Dane, and my cats, Eostre and Margo.
