I went back to my daughter Amanda’s house this weekend and finished where I left off with her backyard garden. I built a gate, fence and trellis to keep her dogs from her garden when needed. I also built a potting bench, garden bench and a few more planter boxes. She has planted lots of vegetables and flowers that are growing and she really is enjoying her new hobby. It’s beautiful at night with all the lights but I forgot to take pictures. I really enjoyed building everything and really enjoyed our time together in her garden. With less than a week of work, I was able to give her a backyard makeover she will enjoy for years to come . I loved every second of doing it❤️🌹🌸💐🌺🌻

I went to Jacksonville last Wednesday to celebrate my daughter Amanda’s birthday and Mother’s Day. My daughter has gotten interested in gardening and started four raised beds. I went to help her expand her garden . She wanted a cottage garden and y’all all know I love gardening. I built her 12 raised garden beds , 3 arbors and one trellis. I built a fence around her air conditioning unit to make it pretty. I also built 3 planter boxes and bought her a new swing and two more metal planter boxes. I worked so hard for five days; but ,oh my goodness I had so much fun . I just love a good project!!! We are not finished and phase two will be flag stone paths that wind through the garden beds . Actually when you become a gardener you are never finished. She is so excited to share her gardening with everyone, which makes me so happy.

The lack of rain this year has not stopped me from enjoying my favorite time of year. I love spring so much and I have spent just about every day outside. My love of plants and diy keeps me traveling to the home improvement stores frequently. Some people love shoes or clothes but I love plants . I found an unbelievable sale a few weeks ago at Lowe’s . I bought two truck loads of plants for 75% off . Yes , I went back for a second truck load . I got these beautiful hanging baskets for $5 a piece. I water them every morning but they have brought me so much joy . I will share more pictures as everything grows. My Jasmine has been blooming like crazy and every one comments on the smell . I have also been working on our front neighborhood entrance which I really enjoy doing. I’m going to continue to hope for rain because we all need it desperately! I have squirrels drinking out of my swimming pool for the first time ever . I have put water out for them and the birds. Hope you all are doing well and having some fun with diy projects too .

Good evening everyone. I have taken a break from social media and my phone in general. I have gotten lots of stuff done with all my free time . I’m posting now to share my second bathroom makeover done by Ryan Akridge . A house is mainly walls and decor but a beautiful bathroom or kitchen can make any house feel brand new . Ryan has brought my house 25 years into the future with his two bathroom remodels . I’m so happy and I highly recommend him for your next big home project. He is a pleasure to work with and did everything from the demo to the finished product. I did pick the materials and I’m pretty happy with selection. Happy weekend everyone and I hope you make something beautiful in your home too . Oh and I had a vanity counter top that was delivered broken and Ryan came back on a Saturday and installed it and all the vanity plumbing after he had started another job . I can’t say enough about his craftsmanship and care .

2025 was an amazing year ! I guess we all say that as we get older. I was blessed to celebrate my 61st birthday with my husband and daughters on New Year’s Eve . We are blessed and whether we travel or stay home we appreciate every single day . Happy New year everyone. I decided not to put my giant Christmas tree up inside my house this year. I did so much Christmas decorations outside for the neighbors and I did not want to move my furniture around to accommodate the tree . But , I could not stop my Christmas decorating heart and I was inspired by this thrift store wreath I found. So I decided to go with the colorful Christmas ball theme and I hung them from my chandeliers , around my mirror , up my staircase and around my mantle. I did two small trees but I got lots of Christmas spirit on the inside in a different way . I think I’m done now and it’s time to wrap presents and bake . I love Christmas because it gives you the creative freedom to go over the top . Happy holiday weekend everyone and be safe in your travels.

I normally wouldn’t post two post in one day but my husband surprised me on our way to dinner. I was happy that ShopCat has survived cancer for eight months today; but ,Scott surprised me with a Christmas present for me . He said by the way your Christmas present is in the back seat . I said you can’t keep a secret lol . If you know me , you know I love tools . I got the stihl shrub tree trimmer to accompany all my other Stihl tools that I love . I’m honestly excited and I told Scott a few weeks ago Lowe’s has tools out in pink this year . I told him I guess they finally realized WOMEN use tools too ! I don’t care about pink but I do care about tools that work well !

ShopCat has survived cancer eight months today and she is ready to celebrate Christmas. She has surprised me climbing up and down the attic ladder with three legs , while I have been pulling down lots of Christmas decorations. She’s Amazing and one more reason I have to be thankful this year . Happy Holidays everybody.

Well this doormat I brought says it all ; but I did make a few more unconventional christmas trees today . I made a flower pot tree for my poolside . It was free to make with clay pots I already owned. I also decorated a metal tree I already owned with some ornaments and hung it out back by the pool . I made two more wood trees from cheap 1x2 boards that I already owned . I love a diy project so much and Christmas gives me the opportunity to think outside the box . I believe creativity makes Christmas more memorable 🌲. Happy holidays everyone and happy diy.

Do you remember this old umbrella I picked up from a neighbor’s trash ? I turned it into a giant spider web for Halloween. Today I deconstructed it a made two Christmas trees out of it . I couldn’t wait until dark but I think it will look nice and it was almost free . Just a little money for spray paint and I used lights I already owned and I kept it out of the land fill . Happy weekend everybody and happy holiday diy 🎄
