We enjoyed welcoming students from the Twin County Manufacturing Excellence program to Turman Hardwood Flooring yesterday! 🌳

Students spent time touring our facility, seeing our manufacturing operation firsthand, and learning more about the work that goes into producing Appalachian hardwood flooring.

Opportunities like this give local students a chance to step inside manufacturing facilities in their own community and see some of the careers and industries available close to home.

Thank you to Mount Rogers Region and everyone involved with Manufacturing Excellence for including Turman Hardwood Flooring in this year's tours. We enjoyed having the students visit and sharing a look at what we do!

We're proud to have played a small part in bringing this outdoor classroom to life at Eastern Montgomery High School! 🌲

Burks Fork Log Homes and Turman Lumber Company were pleased to donate materials toward the project, which has created a beautiful outdoor space for students to learn, gather, and put to use for years to come.

The Holly King Outdoor Classroom was recently dedicated in memory of beloved teacher Holly King, and we're honored to be recognized alongside the many businesses, organizations, individuals, and students who contributed their time, materials, and talents to make the project possible.

It's always rewarding to see wood products from our operations become part of something that will serve students and the community.

Thank you to Eastern Montgomery High School for allowing us to be a part of it!

At Blackberry Pallet, we're proud to manufacture hardwood pallets that help our customers keep their products and their businesses moving.

A great weekend with Virginia's forest products community! 🌲

Josh Bond and Jeremiah Hawley represented The Turman Group at the Virginia Forest Products Association Annual Convention, where Josh had the opportunity to serve as a keynote speaker.

It was great to see Virginia State Forester Terry Lasher and Deputy Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry Ben Rowe in attendance as well.

A big thank you to Lesley Moseley, Susan Seward, and the VFPA for the work they do throughout the year to represent and support Virginia's forest products industry.

We're proud to be part of such a strong industry here in the Commonwealth!

From Carroll County to Thailand, it's been a busy week for The Turman Group. 🌎🌲

While Brandon Turman was close to home representing The Turman Group in the Carroll County Homecoming Parade, Ryan Turman, Wil Brush, and Barry Largen were on the other side of the world representing our Virginia hardwood products at the Thailand International Woodworking & Furniture Exhibition.

We're proud to call Southwest Virginia home while building relationships and serving customers well beyond it.

If you're attending the show in Thailand, stop by Booth J22 and see our team!

Navigating PPWR requirements for transport packaging?

Our latest Blackberry Pallet blog takes a practical look at the PPWR Declaration of Conformity—what it is, who is responsible for it, what documentation supports it, and what U.S. packaging manufacturers should consider when preparing one.

We've also included editable templates for several types of transport packaging to help manufacturers get started.

Heating season will be here before we know it.

At Turman Hardwood Flooring, hardwood pellets are another part of what keeps our operation moving. Made using wood dust generated through our flooring manufacturing process, our pellets put more of the hardwood resource to productive use.

A look behind the scenes as another bag makes its way through production.
