There's something incredibly rewarding about creating a home that doesn't just look beautiful, it feels right.
For nearly 20 years, I've built a career around thoughtful design, helping people solve problems through creativity and attention to detail. Those same principles have guided every renovation, remodel, and space I've designed over the years, including the home my husband, Derek, and I transformed here in The Galena Territory.
Together, we bring two very different strengths to every project. I lead the creative vision, space planning, materials, and design decisions, while Derek brings decades of client management and project leadership experience, helping ensure every detail comes together as intended. It's a partnership that's served us well for 20 years... and one we now bring to our clients.
That's the philosophy behind TRAY | Design-Led Interiors.
One of the biggest misconceptions I see is that a remodeling project begins by calling a contractor. In my experience, the best projects begin with a thoughtful design plan.
When the layout, lighting, materials, and overall vision are defined first, contractors can do what they do best... bring that vision to life. Starting with design creates a roadmap that helps everyone work toward the same goal while avoiding costly changes, decision fatigue, and unnecessary surprises.
That's the approach we bring to every project: combining thoughtful design with experienced project leadership to help homeowners make confident decisions before construction begins.
On this page, we'll be sharing renovation projects, before-and-afters, design tips, behind-the-scenes decisions, and practical ideas to help you create a home that's both beautiful and functional.
Whether you're here for inspiration, planning your own remodel, or simply curious about the design process, we're glad you're here.
