B E R R Y V I L L E. It's town The Covenant School 4th - 6th graders have used their imaginations to bring to life hidden among the trees on campus. For years, the kids have invented shops, offered services, or even set up a theatre and performed for each other. They use the holly berries as their town currency, hence the name. During my time substitute teaching at TCS, watching these kids just be kids has been my favorite part. They are so creative in using things in nature to create all kinds of things, and I love seeing their imaginations come alive. When they returned to the campus after the awful tragedy of March 27th, 2023, I knew I wanted to make them a sign that celebrated Berryville and, more importantly, celebrated childhood. They were so excited to have something customized just for them, and their smiles were priceless. I'm so, so proud of these brave and resilient kids, and when many of them graduate and move on from TCS this year, I will miss them all so much.
