A small studio ask…

If you’ve spent time making at FCS Clayworks and left work behind, we very likely are still holding onto it for you.

We’ve done our best to keep every piece safe since we’ve been open, but we’re starting to run out of space and want to reconnect people with their work.

Come by, look through pieces, and take home anything that’s yours. Please reach out ahead of time, as we have found some creative storage places for the leftover pottery. We may need to guide you to these locations. Call the number listed below or DM us!

We still have work from our very first classes, 3 years ago.

We’re growing our team at FCS Clayworks.

We’re currently looking for a few instructors to join us, with a focus on daytime classes (including weekends), and a small number of evening opportunities.

If teaching feels like a natural extension of your practice, we’d love to connect. Please send over a resume or CV and a little about your experience.

We’re also opening up a few part-time studio tech positions for those who are looking for more time and access in the studio. These roles are trade-based, and can include materials, firings, and studio access in exchange for helping support the space.

We’re always excited to bring thoughtful, community-minded people into the studio.

Can’t decide between handbuilding and wheel throwing? In this class, you can do both.

This six-week course introduces the fundamentals of several clay-forming techniques. Students will learn wheel throwing—from centering clay to glazing finished pieces—while also exploring handbuilding methods such as pinching, coiling, and slab construction.

Pottery Essentials is a great starting point for anyone interested in developing a well-rounded ceramics practice and getting to know the possibilities of working with clay.
