Listen y’all this witch knows a little something about this. Imma preach for a second but mostly to myself. Because I have to remind myself of this daily. Because to be honest for some reason it just doesn’t come naturally to me. But it does get easier.
You can push all those feeling/thoughts way deep down inside and not deal with your s**t all you want but eventually (generally when you least expect or need it to) they makes their way to the surface and it generally ain’t pretty. Deal with things one at a time don’t allow them to build. Just accept that there isn’t always a solution and you can only control you. Honor and acknowledge those feeling/thoughts, then let that s**t go. STOP BEATING YOURSELF UP BRO. Trust me there is enough people out there to do that for you. BE YOUR OWN BIGGEST CHEERLEADER!
Fill your cup with positivity and stop talking so dang ugly to yourself. We’re all moving so fast and taking in so much energy from all around us. Allow yourself to dismiss negative thoughts because they will happen. Everyday put on your armor then beam all the good you got to give. Be tired when you lay down at night and know you did best you could. Then get up and try harder tomorrow.
I LOVE THIS ANALOGY:
You are holding a cup of coffee when someone comes along and bumps into you or shakes your arm, making you spill your coffee everywhere.
Why did you spill the coffee?
"Because someone bumped into me!!!"
Wrong answer.
You spilled the coffee because there was coffee in your cup.
Had there been tea in the cup, you would have spilled tea.
Whatever is inside the cup is what will spill out.
Therefore, when life comes along and shakes you (which WILL happen), whatever is inside you will come out. It's easy to fake it, until you get rattled.
So we have to ask ourselves... “what's in my cup?"
When life gets tough, what spills over?
Joy, gratitude, peace and humility?
Anger, bitterness, victim mentality and quitting-tendencies?
Life provides the cup, YOU choose how to fill it.
Today let's work towards filling our cups with gratitude, forgiveness, joy, words of affirmation, resilience, positivity; and kindness, gentleness and love for others. 🤗
